Eighty years ago, the first full-length animated film created by Walt Disney Productions was released.
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs premiered on December 21st 1937 and was a huge success!
It was a ground-breaking production for the time, and required enormous effort and faith from Walt Disney, who even had to mortgage his own house to pay for production, which cost $1.5 million - a huge sum of money in the 1930's.

Good thing it grossed around $8 million during its release, and allowed Walt Disney to both keep his home and afford to buy Burbank Studios! The movie has had a lifetime gross of $418.2 million across its original release and several reissues. The film still registers as one of the top money makers of all time.
Speaking of Disney, why don't we learn the names of some of their famous movies in English?
