Review - The Babysitter (2017)

The Babysitter is an original Netflix horror movie released on October 13th 2017 (which was a Friday). The main characters are: Cole (Judah Lewis), an awkward teenage boy who suffers bullying and whose parents are overprotective; and Bee (Samara Weaving), his gorgeous and super cool babysitter.

The movie first focuses on their best-friend relationship - Bee always protects Cole from bullies and finds new ways to cheer him up constantly. However, things take a turn to the creepy side when, one night, Cole decides to stay up and see what Bee does at night while he's sleeping.

He pretends to fall asleep when the babysitter puts him to bed, and proceeds to sneak out of his room and hide where he can see everything Bee is doing. She has a group of friends over, and he expects to watch them making out, but what he sees is completely unexpected and scary.

This is the part of the movie which is very scary, but also kind of lame. It's almost like a horror "Home Alone", but the overall movie experience is good. After going through a lot of dangerous and frightening experiences, Cole becomes a braver and more mature person.

The Babysitter has a 6,4/10 score on IMDB and a 69% score on Rotten Tomatoes, both review aggregator websites. If you're a fan of horror movies, you should check out Mother! as well!
