Ingredients

½ cup + 1 tbsp. flour

¼ tsp. salt

¼ cup unsalted butter

¼ cup brown sugar

2 tbsp. sugar

1 egg yolk

½ tsp. vanilla

1 chocolate bar (about 130g)

Steps

Chocolate cookies

1 - Preheat oven to 350°F degrees (about 176°C)

2 - In a small bowl using a handheld mixer, mix the butter, brown sugar, and sugar.

3 - Add the egg yolk and vanilla and mix.

4 - In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.

5 - Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until they are fully combined.

6 - Cut the chocolate bar into small pieces and add them to dough.

7 - Grease a baking sheet with butter and flour.

8 - Scoop out 8 rounded balls of dough (about two tablespoons each) onto the baking sheet.

TIP: The cookies need to be placed far from each other because the dough spreads a lot.

9 - Bake for 10-12 minutes and let them cool for some minutes before you eat them.

TIP: They keep on cooking even outside the oven, so don't let them too much inside it.
